You don’t have to adopt to help a shelter pet.

Volunteers are the heart of Paw Arty by Paws with Cause. Thanks to people like you, we’re able to raise awareness for neglected and overlooked animals while building stronger, more compassionate communities through the power of art.

Whether you consider yourself an artist or not, we have many meaningful ways for you to get involved. Volunteer opportunities include:

• Helping at paint events and farmers’ markets
• Assisting at our gallery or studio
• Sketching rescue pets for paint kits
• Greeting and guiding guests as an art docent
• Supporting behind-the-scenes or remotely

There’s a place for every skill and personality. We’ll work with you to match your interests and availability.

At the core of our work is a simple but powerful belief: Animal neglect is not just about animals — it’s also about communities losing touch with compassion.

Our programs intentionally involve underserved groups to help ensure no one feels forgotten — human or animal. We strive to lift others up through inclusive, community-focused creative efforts.

Our Gallery in Bellingham

Yes, we have a gallery — and it’s beautiful. Located inside Bellis Fair Mall, our space showcases community-created art in support of shelter animals. We’re always looking for volunteers to help staff the gallery for shifts or full days.

If you love art, love pets, and love connecting with others, this is the perfect opportunity.

Third Saturday of each month from 12:00–1:30 PM

Join us at the Paw Arty gallery for a hands-on experience painting shelter pets.
